I Have a Dream…Poetry Competition
Year Nine pupils from De La Salle entered the Young Writer’s I Have a Dream Poetry Competition at the end of May 2009. Several of the entrants’ poems were selected for publication based on their perception, imagination, expression and use of language.

Some of the pupils based their poems on their favourite icons or heroes. Other pupils took a more serious approach to how they wish to see the world, obviously inspired by the late Martin Luther King’s speech.

All in all, pupils were delighted to get their work published and enjoyed the creative process in composing their poems.
