· Entry Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications in Literacy
· SKILLS ASSESSED: Talking, Listening, Reading and Writing
· Preparation for Level 1 and 2 Essential Skills in Communication. A-G Equivalent in
Year 12: Level 1-C-G Equivalent and Level 2-A-C Equivalent: You must produce the following to get Level 1 or 2:
· Complete a one to one discussion with your tutor, normally based on your work experience · Produce a portfolio based on Action Based Activities (ABAs), normally on a career of your choice · Portfolio is to be completed before undertaking the DTT · Obtain pass mark of at least 70% in a Desktop Task (DTT) · The DTT consists of an exam in reading and writing · Both parts must be completed to achieve the Essential Skills qualifications
All work will be assessed based on: · Its relevance-sticking to the point · Its structure-it must be organised with paragraphs and subheadings · Its style-make it easy to read and suited for its purpose · You need to include a RELEVANT IMAGE with your portfolio · YOU NEED TO ENSURE THAT ALL WORK HAS NO SPELLING, PUNCTUATION or GRAMMATICAL ERRORS!
